Welcome to our second March issue.
In this issue, we are announcing that we are planning to expand our National Office team by recruiting a Director of Operations.
Amidst the Sarah Everard case, the Government reopened the survey on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) which officially includes male victims of crimes such as domestic abuse.
If you have not done so already, this is an opportunity to fill in the survey and make their voice heard - including why male victims of these crimes should not be classed in this unhelpful way.
We have also developed a guidance article that explains why, if you are struggling with Child Maintenance arrears, you should make CMS an offer to pay what you can afford, rather than nothing. CMS aims to recover arrears within 2 years and expects the Paying Parent to pay up to 40% of their net income to clear them. However, for many of you that will simply be too much!
Finally, on 14th March, the 'Femail' section of Daily Mail quoted us whilst exploring the way Covid19 is used as part of the weaponry of family separation and divorce.
Thank you for your support!
With best wishes
