Welcome to the Newcastle Branch page!
We are an affiliate branch of the UK's leading shared parenting charity, Families Need Fathers.
We provide help, advice and support for those that are dealing with children's matters before, during and after relationship breakdown. All are welcome - be they mothers, fathers or grandparents.
There is no cost for attending our meetings although we encourage everyone to make a £2 donation towards running costs. We also request visitors to consider becoming members of FNF to help our organisation to keep going in especially difficult times for all.
Location & Time
We meet from 7:00-9:30pm on the first Tuesday and third Thursday of every month at The Ouseburn Community Centre on Mowbray Street. Please check the Upcoming Events for any last-minute changes.
If you have any queries, please contact Colin on 07943 506 074 or Cathy on 07916 329 537. Alternatively, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do not contact the venue as they will not be able to help you.
All matters are discussed in complete confidence under the Chatham House Rule.
At meetings, there is a general review on the previous meeting, then members and non-members alike are given their opportunity to voice personal (or otherwise) views & experiences. Help and advice is given when appropriate. At 9.30pm, a number of us pop to a nearby pub for a relaxing and uncomplicated chat / pint, in a less formal venue. Guest speakers are welcome; we have already had presentations from solicitors and Core Childrens Services, who gave time to give information, answer queries, and provide support to the group.
