A talk by Baroness Catherine Meyer on her experience of being a left-behind parent to be held in the House of Lords on 11th May 2023 at 2pm.
Catherine Meyer was herself a left-behind parent in the 1990s, writing about her experience in two books ("Two Children Behind a Wall" and "These are My Children, Too"). She campaigned for 17 years to raise awareness of issues surrouding international child abduction and was awarded a CBE for her work on behalf of children and families.
She has kindly offered to talk to FNF's International Abduction and Child Contact Group about her experience of unresolved international child abduction and her subsequent reunification with her children in adulthood. This will be of interest to many group members in related situations.
