Surviving Separation - Course for Separating Parents with Children

Surviving Separation is an 8-week online course run on 8 consecutive Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 9pm tutored by FNF members. It provides a broad examination of the problems and solutions facing separated parents who are denied parenting opportunities with their children. 

The course includes: Mediation, The cycle of Life, Children’s emotional development, Parenting opportunities, The effects of separation on your kids, Looking at things from her angle, Children’s rights, Communication; what not to say, Dealing with the unexpected loss of your kids, The Court Process, Parents and Play, Why relationships fail, Arguments for giving up, Children without their biological fathers, Getting back in the saddle, Domestic abuse, The nature of Partner abuse, Have you been in an abusive relationship? Abuse in the family court, Building resilience in your children, Living in two homes, Myths in Section 7 Reports, Managing conflict and more.
There will be additional homework involving watching a video, completing a questionnaire, thinking about your past and future and building a Parenting Plan.
This is a new course and applicants will be expected to give the authors and facilitators feedback to help them develop and improve the course. You will need to commit to the full course to get maximum help. Some individual advice on conflict and communication can be provided following each session.
