Families Need Fathers appoints new National Helpline Coordinator and Southern Region Support Worker

   -  Alex Borchardt to become Families Need Fathers’ (FNF) first National Helpline Coordinator, building up the helpline to become one of the UK's premier telephone helplines

   -  Garry Tinsley to become FNF’s Southern Region Support Worker, developing the charity’s capacity and influence in Southern England

Families Needs Fathers is pleased to announce these appointments at a time when the issues of family breakdown and children’s and parents’ rights are at the heart of public debate.

Alex Borchardt has been an FNF member since 2005, and has extensive experience in project management, customer relationship management and marketing. His positive experiences of FNF have made him highly dedicated to the charity’s work, and he looks forward to  developing the invaluable resource of the helpline which helps thousands of fathers, mothers and grandparents every year.

Garry Tinsley will actively promote the FNF Parent Support Workshop programme which has been developed over the past four years, as well as building partnerships and relationships with statutory, voluntary, and faith sector organisations. The role will help to increase recognition of the important contributions of fathers, mothers and the wider family in meeting the needs of children throughout the separation or divorce of their parents.

The new appointments have been made possible by grants from the Tudor Trust and the Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation and come during a period of growth and development for the child welfare charity that aims to keep both parents involved in their children's lives after family separation.
