·        FNF moves onwards and upwards!

Parmjit Dhanda, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children, Young People and Families will lead the ceremony of Families Need Fathers official office opening on Wednesday 9th May at 10 am.

Mr Dhanda’s responsibilities for the Department for Education and Skills include children’s health, its parenting strategy, and work with the Voluntary and Community Sector more generally.

Amongst those attending the opening will be key friends and partner organisations to welcome an era of development and growth for the charity.

John Baker, FNF Chair says “Mr Dhanda’s support of Families Need Fathers is a strong indicator of the priority which the Government and society must rightly give to child welfare and the strength of family relationships”.

Formed in 1974, the self-help charity Families Need Fathers is recognised as the most knowledgeable representative of parents living apart from their children, and provides support and information to separated and divorced parents, as well as extended family and friends. FNF believe that every child has the right to a relationship with both parents during and after family breakdown.

Families Need Fathers (FNF) is a registered charity providing information and support on shared parenting issues arising from family breakdown, and support to divorced and separated parents, irrespective of gender or marital status. Our primary concern is the maintenance of the child’s relationship with both parents. Founded in 1975, FNF helps thousands of parents every year.
